Dear Seaford Harbor School Community,

We hope this letter finds you making fun summer memories with friends and family as we prepare for another wonderful school year at the Harbor School! We are filled with anticipation and excitement to welcome our students back on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, our first day of school, for what promises to be a fantastic year!

This year, our school-wide theme is “It Takes a Viking Village,” and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring this message to life throughout the year. At the Harbor School, we believe that when we work together as students, families, educators, and community members, we create the strongest foundation for our children to thrive. Like a true village, we rely on one another to build a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels seen, heard, and celebrated. Our dedicated team of educators have been hard at work over the summer, preparing engaging lessons and meaningful learning opportunities designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help each child reach their fullest potential. With the support of our Viking Village, we are committed to fostering leadership, kindness, and collaboration in every classroom and hallway. As always, we will continue to emphasize the Seaford Scholars traits as guiding principles in our lessons and daily interactions encouraging our students to become innovators and partners in their learning journey!

Throughout the school year, you’ll see our theme woven into everything we do, from student-led initiatives and classroom activities to community events and school-wide celebrations. Our students will be encouraged to shine as leaders, lift one another up, and take pride in the values that make the Harbor School such a special place.

Our wonderful PTA plays a vital role in bringing our Viking Village to life by organizing memorable experiences and events for our students. We invite you to join this amazing team of volunteers and help strengthen the bond between home and school. Please mark your calendar for the first PTA meeting on Monday, September 8 at 7:15 PM in the Harbor All-Purpose Room.

Your child’s class placement will be available on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on Friday, August 22, under the “Documents” section of your dashboard. Kindergarten placements will also be mailed home. If you experience any difficulty accessing this information, don’t hesitate to call the main office for assistance. We encourage you to verify that you have access to Infinite Campus prior to the start of the school year. If you need assistance, please call the technology office at 516-592-4390.
