Dear Seaford Harbor School Community,  

We hope this letter finds you making fun summer memories with friends and family as we prepare for another wonderful school year at the Harbor School! We are filled with anticipation and excitement to welcome our students back on Tuesday, September 1, our first day of school, for what promises to be an incredible year!  

This year, our school-wide theme is "Viking Pride Starts with Me: Chart Your Course," and we are excited to bring this message to life throughout the year. At the Harbor School, we believe that taking pride in our words, actions, and choices helps strengthen not only our own character but also our connection to one another and to our entire school community. Every positive choice contributes to the strong Viking spirit that makes the Harbor School and the Seaford community so special.  

We also believe that elementary school is the perfect place for students to begin discovering and developing their leadership potential. Throughout the year, our students will have meaningful opportunities to build confidence, demonstrate responsibility, and make a positive impact on those around them. Together, we will encourage every child to chart a course toward kindness, leadership, and lifelong success!  

Our dedicated team of educators has spent the summer thoughtfully preparing engaging lessons and meaningful learning experiences that will inspire curiosity, encourage growth, and help every child chart their own course toward academic excellence. As students navigate the school year, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where our Seaford Scholars traits are nurtured each day. Guided by our Seaford Scholars traits, we will continue to empower students to take pride in their learning, embrace new challenges, and become confident innovators and active partners in their educational journey!  

Throughout the year, our theme will come to life in classrooms, student leadership opportunities, school traditions, and community events. As our students display their Viking Pride, they will be encouraged to make positive choices, lead with confidence, support one another, and display the values that help make the Harbor School a special place.  

Our wonderful PTA plays an integral role in nurturing the Viking spirit by organizing memorable experiences and events for our students. We invite you to join this amazing team of volunteers and help strengthen the bond between home and school. Please mark your calendar for the first PTA meeting on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:15 PM in the Harbor All Purpose Room.  

As we begin this school year, we invite our entire school community to embrace their Viking Pride by working together and building a community where every child feels empowered to lead, grow, and succeed. We are so grateful for your partnership and can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish together!
